Starting Oct. 1, 2015, Base Communications Offices (BCO) in Far East will no longer be providing direct connectivity to outgoing commercial telephone services for on-base residential and vendor customers.
Class B Customers who wish to make outgoing commercial calls from their Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Far East (NCTS FE)-provided service, will need to do so using calling card or find another method (Magic Jack, Skype, FaceTime, etc). Customers will also have the option to install commercial telephone service (provided by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) East for Yokosuka, Ikego and Atsugi, and by NTT West for Sasebo, Dragon Vale and Hario Village); however, customers will not have connectivity to on-base service if he/she chooses to install NTT commercial telephone service. Basic monthly charge and toll will be applied for NTT commercial service. Instruction for NTT commercial telephone service application had been enclosed with the September telephone bill. There will be no action required by the customer for the telephone service COS change; however, if customer has positive remaining balance on his/her account, a Standard Form 1199A (Direct Deposit Sign-up form) for residential customer or a Standard Form 3881 (ACH Vendor/Miscellaneous Payment Enrollment Form) for vendor customer will need to be filled out in order to process your refund.
